I can still give you a hair cut with the ol Skilsaw...:)
Thus far: raised the ceiling, put in a soffit and put in a new skylight.
The final major step is the new vanity (on order) and then I can finish things up.

end of summer 2008

Another splendid summer is behind us...school starts this Thursday.
We closed out the summer with a weeks vacation. 2 nights at the Del in San Diego, back home for enjoying Newport and then the last night we stayed at the Disneyland Hotel. I highly recommend staying at the Hotel. For the the first hour (9-10am) the park is only open to the hotel guests. It was a blast doing Space Mountain twice in a row with no lines. But as always I began to get Ants in me pants. 3 hour stints are the only way to go.

I have a new Mac and lots of photo albums to publish. I hope to find some time to get that organized this week.

Buddha or Grande Pajaro??

Best of friends; Michael and his wife Kathleen have ventured off to live in Hong Kong for a year!

Michael has a side step post referring to our mutual good friend as a the "Buddha of Tahoe". Frankly, I have always called him "Grande Pajaro". Got me thinking ...does anyone call him by his real name??

Grande Pajaro: Highly intelligent, a unique charm, supreme confidence... all coupled with good looks.

Madison just got her cast off.

The girls are into their 3rd week with Junior guards

We went to Pop's for the fourth of July.
Brought the dogs with us this time!
The whole family got together (cept Jeff) on Saturday for an afternoon BBQ and some volleyball.
Got out of the house as well: River rafted on the Truckee river and went over to Incline to watch the fireworks. Dad and I also managed to get in a hike on the top of Mt. Rose.

I cant believe its almost June...

Madison fell from the Monkey bars at school yesterday and broke her arm.
Fortunately it is not a severe break but it still requires a cast for the next 5 weeks.
When I was about the same age I fell from a tree (25 ft onto my back) and ruptured my spleen.
So ...I am very sensitive when I see the girls climbing. Thank god it wasn't worse.

The girls graduated from Indian princess down at Camp Pendelton a few weeks ago.
It was 85 degrees and a spectacular weekend.

Next weekend its up to the BA for Cams wedding reception. Staying with Tony. Golf with Tony, Eric and John at the Standford Golf course Saturday morning and then on to the reception. There are some people coming that I haven't seen in 20 years...so it should be a interesting evening.

As a rule I try and not drink from the glasses or cups in Hotel rooms. Also, I never brew coffee in the room. But there are times when there is no bottled water and no other choice. After viewing this undercover video Click Here I may start packing a plastic cup from home. YUK
